Introducing the NOMAD
Quick and simple to install, our NOMAD solar trackers power industries across the globe.
Take solar wherever you need it
We’ve designed our NOMAD to be deployed in the widest range of conditions possible. This all-terrain adaptability, provides the flexibility to offer a standardised, simple, and cost-effective alternative to fossil fuels in a flexible yet scalable manner.
Harness the power of the sun
Using single-axis solar tracking and bifacial solar panels, our NOMAD increases energy yields by up to 45% to 50% more than other movable solar systems – meaning fewer solar panels needed for each deployment compared to other prefabricated options. And unlike traditional solutions, our trackers can be redeployed with ease, enabling projects with short or uncertain operating lives to benefit from low-cost solar energy.
Move & Install
Low transport costs
Compact design allows 400 solar panels mounted on tracker frames to be transported per 40-foot high-cube container – up to 30% higher transport density than traditional systems.
Tested in all terrains
Terrain-following tracker with extreme range of movement. NOMAD is suitable for undulating and challenging terrain, with no piling required. Difficult conditions pose no problem – eliminating the need to flatten the ground.
Quick to deploy
NOMAD is up to 3 times faster to deploy than traditional solar. Prefabricated units are easy for local workers to install, keeping labour costs to a minimum.
Light footprint
On top of saving time and money on preparing difficult sites, with fewer solar panels needed per deployment, even the largest projects can be cost-effective.
Use & Maintain
Expertly designed
Designed with precision by recognised solar tracking industry experts, with over 10 GW of designs installed across North America, Europe, and South America.
Advanced tracking
Follows the sun from east to west, generating 15 to 25% more energy yield and flatter generation curves than standard fixed-tilt solar systems.
Yield gains increase up to 45% vs. East-West fixed-tilt solutions due to NOMAD’s use of bifacial PV modules.
Increased yields
Mounted with bifacial modules that collect solar energy from the front and back to increase energy yield by up to 20% extra on top of solar tracking gains.
Strong and durable
Prefabricated to the highest standards in a controlled factory environment, NOMAD Montaro is built to survive tough conditions for over 25 years.
Remove & Redeploy
Modular and scalable
Built in modular units, NOMAD is designed to be scalable and flexible, ideal for both long-term and short-term projects from 33 kW to 100’s of MW.
Easy to move
Simple to pack up and move without leaving a trace, our portable trackers reduce the impact on the local environment and eliminate the risk of units being stranded.
Reusable
Movable assets that are simple to redeploy open the door to brand new business models, including short-term PPAs and solar rentals.
Help at every stage
Thanks to our extensive expertise and proven track record, we can assist you at every step – from conception right through to exit.
Installation made simple
Thanks to their prefabricated design and modular format, our solar trackers require fewer shipments and can be installed up to four times faster than traditional systems. What’s more, only partial site assembly is required – simply unload, position, anchor and deploy. Depending on the site, we offer a range of anchoring solutions for a variety of geotechnical conditions. Our flexible trackers can be anchored with piles, ground screws, or ballast blocks, but cable anchors often prove to be the most efficient option.
Prefabrication: Bringing factory efficiency to solar
As well as providing a far simpler, more streamlined and less risky approach to deploying solar fields, prefabrication enables us to optimise solar for the entirety of its useful life.

Traditional solar is complex and inefficient
Traditional solar fields are designed with a ‘brick and mortar’ mindset. Such as buildings or motorways, these projects require intensive planning, design, logistics and construction – an inflexible and resource-intensive approach to infrastructure delivery.
Correspondingly, traditional solar demands site-specific procurement which often leads to logistical, environmental and geotechnical problems. Overcoming these requires complex solutions involving extensive management overheads and highly skilled installation expertise. All of which add cost, time, and risk to every project. And very little thought is given to what happens to the equipment and site at the end of project life.
Prefabrication: simpler, more efficient and lower risk solar
By reducing friction and complexity, prefabrication has game-changing benefits over the current solar construction model.
With pre-built, ready-to-assemble modular assets, a prefabricated solution:
- Reduces overall costs and inefficiencies.
- Moves supply chain, logistics and quality control from site to controlled factory conditions.
- Maximises the power density shipped in each container.
- Ensures all parts of a solar field arrive together and on time.
Easy decommissioning – ‘leave it as you find it’
Prefabricated solar systems are quick to deploy and easy to decommission, adding flexibility to planning and significantly reducing end-of-life costs
Using prefabrication to power short-term projects
Until now, the short operating life of solar has forced investment in generation capacity to be amortised over a shorter period, resulting in higher costs of energy.
By designing the solar plant to be moved, we enable power companies to profit from the entirety of its useful life. This means that the investment can be amortised over multiple short-term projects using the same asset, resulting in more attractive economics.
Prefabrication is a key enabler to movable solar – making light work of energy generation.
